Somewhat of a phenomenon has occurred within our education programs at the Tucson Amphi Corps Community Center . Plainly, an overwhelming response due to the under served adult education needs in this community. Our GED program began just a few short months ago with less than 10 attendants and is now bursting at the seams. With nearly 120 interviews completed and as many diagnostics performed, placements set and 500 learning hours a month under way, our eager participants are tapping the benefits of progressive secondary education, career choice opportunities, and personal satisfaction.
Essential tools to meeting the needs and strengthening the achievement of the enrolled will require more than our resources can supply. This is where you come in. If you are or know any retired teachers, literacy volunteers and educational donors, we are in need of books, supplies, reference material and especially volunteer tutors.
